For over two weeks.

There is a domain name for sale and I was wondering how do you find out if the domain name is going to expire soon? I don’t want the domain name that bad so I’m not wanting to fork over a lot of cash for it.

If someone purchases my domain name, will I still be able to enter my web page by just typing in my IP address?

If a domain name has been parked for a couple of years and is due to expire, how long after that expiry date will it take for that name to become available for purchase? I’m waiting for an expiry date but have been alerted by another user who is also trying to purchase a name. The domain name he wants has expired and it’s not available to him.
So I’m wondering if I’m going to have the same problem. How long can a company withold the sale of a domain name after expiry?

I’ve just been looking for domain names that are appropriate for my work. My ideal .co.uk domain is taken, however when I checked the WHOIS register, it was registered on 28/02/02, last updated on 15/11/07 but the Registration Status is now at ‘Renewal Required’ as re-registration was due on 29/02/08. Is there any way that I can purchase this domain or is there a period of time in which the current owner is allowed sole opportunity to re-buy the name?

this domain expires Feb 2007, I want it but it is my understanding that it cannot be transfered while it is locked

It’s not owned by any company. It seems someone has bought it to make profit out of it and I am hoping he’ll let go of it when it expires in April 07. So when it does expire, how long do I have to wait until I can buy it?
