Is it good for SEO or matters little?

I know a fair bit about web design and coding but i hired someone to make me a web site nd it is online now. but my contract with that company is over. but it seems that the company coded it so it always goes to the “under construction” page. I’ve called our domain name provider, and that is not expired until next year. my hosting company says our web hosting fees are up to date. So after about an hour of talking to different people at these places, I got a guy at MTS that knew what he was doing. He found out the issue. He tried changing a few things, but it did not work. He says he is not that familiar with front page. His recommendation was to get someone that is good with Frontpage to find out how to change that indexing so that it does not redirect the page. please help. thank you much!!
i do own the domain name and i do have access to the account–but the company i hired also has access to the account. do u think it might have something to do with ftp manager?

I’m looking for someone who may be able to help, and come up with a great idea for a site, and host it with me. I currently don’t have a domain, don’t have hosting, or a license. Well a domain name expired on the 28th of last month and has not been renewed, but it’s still not available as yet.

I’d like to register a domain name. I’m not going to use it for anything right now; I just want to reserve it for my website in the future (possibly a couple years or more from now).

So, what’s the cheapest way, and how long does it last? If I register it at one site, am I “locked in” to using that site to renew the registration when it expires?

And, am I locked into that site to host my content when I’m ready? In other words, can I choose to register my domain on one site and choose a completely different site to host the content?

A domain I would like to purchase is taken. I was wondering if anyone knows of any site that contacts you to let you know the domain has become available? I think I’ve seen it before, but can’t remember where, if I have. The name was recently registered, and I had checked a few times prior to today to see if the site was still available, so I’m not sure if it was purchased by a hijacker that will resell it to me, but at a more expensive price (I’ve heard of this happening). Incase it was taken by a hijacker, I want to go about getting the domain put on-hold without them knowing I want it, so maybe it’ll expire and I can register it later. Thanks.
