Trisha L asked:

I bought a domain name through them a year ago and it’s going to expire soon. The company I currently host with needs me to renew it through Yahoo, but yahoo won’t give me a contact email to get help because I’m not hosting with them. Can anyone find an email for me? Thanks!
I need contact info for Yahoo Small Business, not info on small businesses in general.

What happened to totalfta.com?

The site is gone. This comes up:You are seeing this page because the current domain is not configured in the current set of name servers or your domain is being parked. This is usually just a temporary error while the domain is being added. Once the domain is configured this page will expire and your correct site will be shown.
It has been this way over a week now. Anyone know what is going on??

Website copyright: once a website no longer exist and has outdated copyright, who can use the old content?

mcneelys2000 asked:

Hi,

I bought an expired domain recently and was thinking about using some of the old content it had. But, the old content showed:

Copyright 1998,2003 – “Author’s Name”

I found the old site content on archive.org. Since the old owner no longer owns this site nor domain, the copyright is outdated (2003) and I bought the domain rights – does this allow me to use the old content?

Any answers that revolve around legality would be appreciated.

Thanks
Isn’t there a difference be online copyright and other copyrights?

Crimson asked:

Been waiting for a domain name to become available. On checking, it normally states the registrar on the registrar database. Now it says there are no matches but the domain name is still unavailable. It now has an option to check the Underlying Registry Data which states it has been registered until next year. The registrar is the domain name company (GoDaddy). Have I missed out? Thanks

kinka_richie asked:

My domain name suppose to expire in a month. I did try to pay the money to renew it but for some reason my CC has been declined. It delicined so many times that I don’t wanna try placing the order anymore :(

So today I went and check my Domain Expiry from WHOIS. It actually said that my domain expiry is in year 2014

Does that mean I don’t need to worry about paying it anymore?

P.S. This domain came with yahoo webhosting. I did cancel the service for webhosting already last year. But I wanna keep my domain. that’s why I was trying to pay to renew the domain for this year.

Domain name (not) available?

George W. B asked:

OK, I’m having a “deet dee dee” moment…a few years back I’m pretty sure I registered a domain name for my currently defunct company. BUt now I want to start it back up again and thus want to use that same domain name. It’s been about 4 yrs since the site was up and running and I figured the domain name would have expired by now. Problem is, when I go to register the domain name, I’m told it’s not available but when I type the addy in, I get a “page not found” error.

How do I find out who owns this domain name or if I still do and if so, how can I reactivate it?

What is THE best “website-hosting” deal on net. ?

TA asked:

I got two domain names (both belong/point to same website – its a personal website, NOT a commercial website). Both names are currently hosted by Startlogic (hosting company). They gona exprie soon. I don’t want to see my domain name expire, nor I want see my site go off the web.

What/Where the best “DEAL” hosting firm on the net for RENEWAL of both of my domain names’ registeration, and hosting of website (for 5 years term). It has to be a reliable/good hosting company. Thank you.
Since my ‘mini’ website is just 3 pages in total (as I say it is personal…may enlarge it later), I just came across an offer by VERIO of $9.95/year inclusive of domain name registeration/hosting (for 3 page websites)! Five years = $50 only!! Isn’t this good deal on Verio OR not!
