Scilene M asked:

Okay so years ago I signed up for an email service that was privately hosted by some ***** I didn’t even know. I liked the domain name so I signed up. I was 12 or so, so I didn’t realize that it could eventually die because it wasn’t all that legit.

Anyways, about a year and a half ago, the domain expired because the owner stopped paying for it. Now nobody owns it. The front page doesn’t exist anymore but if I google it, I can get to an alternative login page. I can login and look at my inbox (which appears as empty), I can SEND emails (I sent one from the old email to my new one and it actually went through), but I can’t receive emails (I tried replying to the email I sent, and got a message back saying it failed).

So, what is the problem? Why can I only send emails? I’m trying to get this email account back because I need to retrieve my password from another site that I signed up with on that email. Would it work if I bought the domain? Or is there an easier way?
I checked the host site and it says I can buy it but when I put it in the cart it says its $70. Is it supposed to be that expensive?

Sheryl A asked:

She doesn’t remember her password of her yahoo account, that account is the one she used in registering & buying my domain in Yahoo! Domain Name.

She called the Y! Domain support for many times but nobody answered her phone call, she emailed them also but no reply.

I own the domain that she bought as her gift to me in Y! Domain Names … Now since my domain is now expired we can’t renew the domain because of the password problem. My domain turned into ad space.

Please help me!

Steven Y asked:

I am getting e-mails from a Hotmail account telling me my domain name is about to expire. Seems funny to me that my domain is through Yahoo, yet I’m getting a renewal notice from a hotmail account. Is this a scam??? Sample below:
