What could or should I do? And is there any kind of internet laws set up to protect me if this gets ugly?

But when I checked on godadddy, It wasn’t available at the moment. I wanted to take that name and add the word “online” to it…so it would be “Blah blah Online.com.” It said that the domain name wasn’t taken, so do you think it’s ok to use that domain name? Or no? I’m so lost, and I’m sure you are after reading this too. Thanks!

- added description of the full path to cache file and word ‘full’ has been replaced to ‘absolute’ for better understanding

ver 1.0->1.1 changes by b1te:
-added install steps instruction
-fixed “ICCup is not accessible” while cached file is
-changed user options configuration code
-added statistics column order option
-changed client-side html parsing code
1) edit CONFIG section of this file
2) save it to your web-server with the .php extension
-on some servers it may be .php3 , .php4 or .php5
include_once(’path’);
where path – is a path to this file on yours web-server
not into the site template. except, if you have smarty templates in your
site`s engine then you can this code to it:
{php}include_once(’path’);{/php}
Since my ‘mini’ website is just 3 pages in total (as I say it is personal…may enlarge it later), I just came across an offer by VERIO of $9.95/year inclusive of domain name registeration/hosting (for 3 page websites)! Five years = $50 only!! Isn’t this good deal on Verio OR not!

I’ve got a website already, but I **** the name. I’m waiting for it to expire to get a new one, but I want a better name than before. (”Pandagami” *Gags*) I would be putting my web design, art (traditional, digital, pixel), and possibly some premade layouts for sites I use on there. I know it’s common for web designers to put their names as the domain, but I don’t think I want to do that. Any suggestions would be great! If you need any more info that might help you think of one, just say so.

Okay, the second thing I need is a host. Currently I’m using DotEasy, but I’m wondering if there’s any better ones. I should just need the basics for now, though I wouldn’t mind the ability to upgrade for more features. I would like a blog, a reasonable amount of web space, a reasonable amount of bandwith, at least one email account (type doesn’t matter), reliability, and possibly at least one or more sub-domain. Things like automatic form and gallery makers or other automatic things don’t matter to me at all. Thanks for any help!

Also, the name is much more important to me than the hosting, as I can do more research on it the hosting on my own.

I want to buy a domain name of my family name, in honour of my Grandmother getting on the internet!

- the domain was deactivated earlier this month (30 day suspension period)
- the domain name is a .ca extension (Canada).
- my family name is uncommon as a family name, but a very common adjective in the english language.
- the guy who owns it presently is in the same city as I am.
- the site has been unhosted/down for at least a year, possibly longer.

What is the best way to get ownership, and if you suggest backordering it, what site(s) would you use and why?

I know a fair bit about web design and coding but i hired someone to make me a web site nd it is online now. but my contract with that company is over. but it seems that the company coded it so it always goes to the “under construction” page. I’ve called our domain name provider, and that is not expired until next year. my hosting company says our web hosting fees are up to date. So after about an hour of talking to different people at these places, I got a guy at MTS that knew what he was doing. He found out the issue. He tried changing a few things, but it did not work. He says he is not that familiar with front page. His recommendation was to get someone that is good with Frontpage to find out how to change that indexing so that it does not redirect the page. please help. thank you much!!
i do own the domain name and i do have access to the account–but the company i hired also has access to the account. do u think it might have something to do with ftp manager?
