I DONT KNOW REALLY WHATS THIS MEANS SO CAN SOME1 HELP ME OUT?

Okay I thought of this name “Romantique Interiors” 5 years ago,and even bought a webdomain that since expired. Well, I was doing a search on it and I found 1 company that now is using that name, and they bought my old domain I let go.

I searched the trademark office, and no one has registered this name, so if I purchase a trade mark will I be able to tell them “this is my name”?

Usually a Google search will reveal if someone is already using the name I want. But in this case it’s inconclusive. There is a company with that name, but their website is in the .tk domain and seems to be squatted on and unrelated to the company. They also have a (down/expired) website in the .cjb.net domain (cjb.net seems to be a registrar).

The .com for that name sends me straight to a registrar.

There are a few other Google hits for it but they all seem to be 404′d or squatted on. Does that mean I can use this name? Where do I go to find out if it’s been trademarked or copyrighted already?
I meant the name of my company, of which I would lease the corresponding domain. I want to trademark a company name.

I registered www.coolninja.com a while back thinking I could eventually figure out something cool to do with it. Turns out I have no ideas and I’d rather focus on my other sites. Instead of letting it expire, I’d like to see if I can auction it off. What are the best sites for this? I’m on GoDaddy and they have their own auction service. Has anyone sold on here? Are there better one out there? Ebay?

I am a writer, inventor and retired anesthesiologist. Searching the Internet, I recently discovered that the Brain Dex Company is selling T-Shirts with my expired patent (including my name), printed on them. I am aware that my patent is now Public Domain. But my name ?

I checked with whois.com and saw that my domain name is already expired I don’t want to renew with my current registrar because they are overpriced, how come I can’t register/renew my domain name with other registrars if it is already expired?

Also is it possible to register my domain name with 1 company and have it hosted by another company?? because I want to go with the company that offers the cheapest domain name registration fees and those that offer the cheapest hosting fees

If I have intermediate knowledge in computer (I am not a computer programmer) – can I be a web host reseller? I understand the business concept but if technical problems arises I wouldn’t know how to solve it.
