won t asked:
now i have a domain and registered it brand new using a godaddy’s 1 year free domain name coupon!! for the information that I inputed I made all the stuff up and sometimes would just enter random stuff….the only thing i did not bs was my email and the coupon (of course)….
my question is if i really liked the domain can i switch the domain registered to another account??? like i would like to be able to register my real information even with my real payment method which is using paypal. is this possible?? or do i have to wait until it expires to register it for another account? and also what are the consequences..like will those advertising companies get my domain somehow if it expiress??

Hm? Entering false WHOIS information is illegal, but there is not very easy ways of verifying it. You are allowed to switch information from the registrar site, and update your contact/billing information. If not e-mail them and tell them you’re transferring the domain to someone else, aka actually you..
The domain will expire after one year, so a long time to wait if you can’t rectify the problem!
With go daddy, I’m not 100% sure on their policy but you could probably do a .com transfer. It works with other domains if you wanted to switch it over, but you may have to verify some info first to ensure that you do indeed own that domain. If you either can’t verify that info or go daddy won’t let you switch, then yes you will need to wait the year until that domain is expired so that you can get it again.
If you still have a question, below is go daddy’s phone numbers so that you can ask a specialist about your exact situation.

I’m just wondering about what you meant by aying can you switch it to another account? If you mean that you received a free doamin name with hosting, you may find you do not own that name but that go-daddy does. Do a whois search. Otherwise, you will have the log in details to your account and will be able to switch name servers to another hosting co. providing the deal doesn’t tie you to go-daddy.
